Detective River Luken
 
River has been on the force for 12 years. She became partners with Patrick when he arrived and he is the only detective she will work with.

After the attack on Kryter and her efforts to evacuate the city, she's put on medical leave. 

Now on leave and getting treatments for poisoning, she discovers that one of the cases that she was taken off comes back into the news.
The Raven has taken another victim. Determined to find the killer, she puts everything on the line and will stop at nothing until he's found.
